Ben Volavola believes working hard always brings positive outcomes.

The 24-year-old’s kicking game was a contributing factor in the Vodafone Flying Fijians winning 39-29 in the 2015 Pacific Nations Cup final against Samoa.

“It’s really the work you do behind closed doors and during training. So if you want to take the responsibility like kicking, you really got to nail it,” Volavola said.

“It’s the aspect of the game where some people like it and some won’t and you just got to take the positives and work on it.”

The new Crusaders signing is excited and happy after helping Fiji win the PNC title.

“It was really great, the boys have been really great to me, they welcomed me really well into the team.

“It was such a great squad, a lot of relief after the PNC and happiness was there when we won the title.”

He is now focused on making 31-member squad for the RWC.

“I will have to concentrate in the next few days and hopefully my name gets called out,” he said.

“I will just put up my best as there are other quality players in the squad so it’s really exciting.”

Family is biggest inspiration

“I really get my inspiration from my family,” Volavola said.

“I really don’t put too much on people I don’t know because they will put you down if you don’t know them too well.”
