University of the South Pacific’s Professor Vijay Naidu has resigned as a member of the Fiji Electoral Comission.
Commission chairman Chen Bunn Young confirmed this last night.
He said: “He didn’t give us any reason to explain his resignation as an election commissioner and it was his own decision to resign from the post.
“He resigned last year on the 31st of December and if anyone wants to know reasons for his resignation, then contact him,” Mr Young said.
Prof Naidu could not be reached for comment last night.
