No moves have been made by family members of late Ratu Osea Gavidi to remove a rebel state flag from their property.

Despite strong words from Nadroga/Navosa chief Turaga Na Ka Levu Ratu Kinijoji Vosailagi the rebel Nadrgoga Christian State flag was still flying high yesterday.

According to villagers, a meeting was called and members of Ratu Osea’s family were asked to remove the flag. However, they refused to do so.

When the Fiji Sun team visited the residence yesterday, the flag was still flying.

Villagers told the Fiji Sun that they were not in support or in favour of forming a new state.

However, they could not risk trespassing to remove the flag from where it is currently flying.
