Bullies Beware: Reddy warns

No bullying will be tolerated in boarding schools, says the Minister for Education Mahendra Reddy.
Parents have now resorted to taking their complaints directly to the Minister, after their dissatisfaction with the handling of their childrens’ cases by school management.
Mr Reddy responded strongly by saying the issue of bullying would be stamped out in school dormitories.
He made this strong statement following multiple concerns raised about school bullying.
“Any students who are involved in bullying will have no place in the school dormitories,”Mr Reddy said.
“Two students from Queen Victoria School who were involved in bullying last month have been told to look for another school,”he said.
Mr Reddy said he will be looking into another case which was reported to him by a parent of QVS.
“I visited Vunisea High School last Friday where a bullying incident also took place last month, the parents of those students have been contacted and the students have been removed from the school.
“Some students think that they can get away with this kind of things but it will happen under our leadership.”
