Where is the money coming from? This is the next big question sedition case investigators are asking.

There is strong indication that some Fijians overseas may be the financiers of some caught up in the current allegations of sedition.

Sources close to investigations have confirmed that a number of Fijians living overseas have been implicated during questioning of some of those detained in Fiji.

Australia and the United States of America are two countries mentioned. Both have been hotbeds of people making long-range word attacks on the Bainimarama Government. Both harbour a number of the people associated with the SDL Government ousted  in 2006.

So far, 63 people have been charged in three different sedition cases- one group in Ra, another group from Nadroga/Navosa and one last group that was allegedly undergoing military-styled training in the highlands of Ra.

In court in some cases Police have requested bail be denied because of ongoing investigations into the possibility of firearms being involved. To date no firearms have been produced. But it is known that military intelligence share the Police concerns and are closely monitoring the situation.
