The National Federation Party (NFP) has sent their submissions concerning space allocation to the Secretary General to Parliament.

Party leader Biman Prasad yesterday said they had some issues regarding their space allocation with the Opposition Office.

“We have also asked that this be also put to the Parliament house committee, which should make the final decision as to the allocation of parliamentary funding for political parties for next year,” he said.

Meanwhile, the party remains tight-lipped about how they have used or are using the $45,000 allocated to them for the running of the party.

Mr Prasad said would not comment concerning the funds.

Earlier the party, together with SODELPA, had opposed to the funding allocation.

The funds were for the party to run the office. This would include the hiring of staff and other expenses relating to the resourcing of the party offices.

According to an earlier report the FijiFirst will receive $480,000 a year; SODELPA will receive $225,000 a year, while NFP will get $45,000.

This is based on the number of MP’s each party has in Parliament.
