‘The Razor’ Faces Qalomai

Fiji’s welterweight champions Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali will face Suva’s Ulaiasi Qalomai in the main bout (12 x 3 minutes) in the Westwood Boxing Promotions feature clash at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on September 26.
This is the first fight since May 3 last year where Naitasiri native Opeti Tagi was crowned the new Boxing Commission of Fiji middleweight champions after defeating Navosa slugger Abhay Chand by points under the Naidiri Boxing Promotions banner.
Western Boxing Rumble 2015 promoter Praneel Dass said the fight was destined to be a different fight altogether in a bid to revive boxing in the country.
“There are eight solid professional bouts and three amateurs in this promotion,” he said.
“The programme is not only to revive the sport but to develop future boxers.”
Dass said they were expected to include more sponsors.
