John McKee says the 31 men for the 2015 Rugby World Cup next month should be in top form before the opening game against England on September 19.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians head coach is confident they would work together to improve the fitness level before departing for London on August 31.

“It should be another hard training next week,” McKee said.

“We are trying very hard to challenge the players and it’s all come down to believing in themselves.

“For us it’s a big challenge ahead. The boys are not really overconfident but they actually believe they can do great things in this RWC.

“We know the challenge that we are up to and we know we won’t be successful if we don’t play to the best of our ability. In our pool there will be a lot of twist and turns.

“But it’s going to be dominated by one or two teams. It’s going to come down to points’ difference and bonus points.”

McKee praised the workrate of local prop Leeroy Atalifo who was among the 31 players.

“I watched him playing on provincial rugby and worked so hard to make it into the squad,” McKee said.

“With this talented group of players, fiercely proud of representing their country, I believe we have a team who will bring their best game to the biggest contest in international rugby.”
