Rewa will continue to focus on their youth development and local league, says Nazeel Buksh.

The Rewa Football Association president, Nazeel Buksh, made the comment during celebration for winning the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori last Saturday.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Buksh said.

“Our own development plans has been going on quite well. We’ve a big pool of players, we have depth in our local league and youth league.

“Our main focus has been on development for the last six years. The Rewa Youth team has not lost a match and have been the champions for the last two years.

“I believe this is the way forward for all districts.

“I am just really proud of what Rewa has achieved.”

After retaining the B.O.G title, Buksh said there was no stopping Rewa from winning the Rewa Galaxy Football Premier League.

“We’ve never won the league in the last 87 years of our existence and that is our focus right now”

The players were hosted to a celebration dinner with their families and were presented $1000 each from the prizemoney ($15,000) and $6000 from sponsors.
