Silly Little Loruama

So Silly Guy Loruama Tawawili thinks he can sit back from afar and cast stones at our Fijian judiciary? A keen reader on this column pointed the following out about Mr Tawawili:

“Tawawili – in iTaukei language his name means “counts for nothing”. Is a former pay clerk in the RFMF. A small man with a Napoleonic complex who tends to comment on issues way beyond his competence.

“Served in Lebanon in 1979 as an office-bound Pay Clerk at the HQ of the Fiji Battalion. Was a loyal supporter of Sitiveni Rabuka and his ethno-nationalist cause in 1987.

“Now lives in Wisconsin, USA, where he is one of those ‘keyboard warriors’ of the Fiji Democracy Movement.”

And this little man faraway and long gone thinks he’s a better man on Fiji than our CJ?

UNION MAN

So a certain top unionist is fronting court for certain ‘maintenance’ issues for his two children from one of his liaisons? After being rather unceremoniously caught with a third woman, this man is finding it hard to stick to one, it seems.

OPPOSITE WAYS

Can the Opposition please decide whether it is too easy to change sections of the Constitution or too hard. Yesterday in Parliament National Federation Party was complaining that it was just too difficult to amend the Constitution. But fellow MPs from SODELPA are always complaining that land ownership can easily be changed under this Constitution.

Well, for once, NFP is correct. It is not going to take just a simple majority to change laws enshrined in our Constitution. Which also means that law regarding land ownership is not going to be changed easily either. But, some will not tell their followers this, because it does not suit their agenda.

THEIR MAN

So one MP tells the other “will see you outside”. Is that a threat?

Is this why this MP, Ratu Isoa Tikoca, Opposition Whip, was voted into Parliament?

Of course, the Opposition leadership is going to condone this, because Ratu Isoa is in Camp Kepa and not in Camp Bulitavu. Politics..
