New DPP Principal Legal Officer Appointed

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde, announced the appointment of Kylie Doyle, as a principal legal officer with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

Ms Doyle is an experienced advocate and academic in law and criminology and has practiced law in a diverse range of roles and jurisdictions in Australia.

Her most recent role involved lecturing and researching in law at the Flinders and Griffith universities in Australia.

Mr Pryde said, “Dr Doyle will be engaged in a number of specialist projects for the office including developing and delivering workshops for our Police prosecutors throughout the country as well as the annual National Prosecution Course.”

Ms Doyle earned her doctorate from the Flinders University School of Law, Australia, in 2011.

Prior to her admission to the Bar in 2008, Ms Doyle was a Police Prosecutor and prior to that an army officer in the Australian Defence Force.

She is a recipient of  an  impressive  list  of  awards  and  grants  over the  past  17  years  and  has authored and co-authored a number of legal academic publications.
