The Vodafone Flying Fijians team and officials were hosted to a farewell lunch by the Acting British High Commissioner Daniel Salter at his residence yesterday.
Salter wished the team well and said there would be mixed feelings come September 19 when hosts England takes on the Fijians at Twickenham at 7am (Fiji time).
“We are honoured to host the Flying Fijians team here at the British High Commissioner’s residence.
“It’s a mix feeling in the first day and I wish Fiji all the very best in the first match,” Salter said.
“England will get my vote in the first one.”
The team broke camp yesterday following the farewell and departs the country for England next Monday.
