Police Wives Tourney Ends Succesfully

The Fiji Police Force Wives National Volleyball and Netball Tournament ended on a high note at Holy Family Primary School ground in Labasa yesterday.
Southern Two volleyball team won A-grade division. Headquarters won B-grade division while Western won the netball competition.
Southern team was declared the runner-up for netball competition and was the only team that had the youngest coaches.
Waisale Tuidaku, 20, said they prepared the team for two days.
“We are the youngest coaches and we only prepared the team for just two days before the tournament.
“We came here to play with a positive mind and this win has proven to us that age does not matter, it is the skills and motivation,” he said.
Tuidaku with his co-coach Jiuteci Loganimoce, 21, were members of the Kulawai volleyball team in 2010 and are proud of their talents.
“This police wives are all from Samabula and I thank them for their dedication,” Loganimoce said.
Fiji Police Force Wives president Silina Tudravu said the competition ended on a high note.
“I thank all the Police wives for their sporting spirit,” Tudravu said.
Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald, meanwhile, thanked all participants for their teamwork and unity.
“These two-day tournament was not only about competition, but also about coming together as a family of police wives,” Groenewald said.
