Vodafone Flying Fijians lock Api Ratuniyarawa counts himself lucky to be part of the 2015 Rugby World Cup squad.

The Agen, France player had to struggle in the last four years to make it into the squad this year.

“I missed out in the 2011 RWC but I promised myself to work hard and try to earn a spot in 2015.

“My elder brother Sekonaia Kalou played in the 2011 RWC and that really pushed me to achieve my aim, Seko has been very supportive; he’s always encouraging me in this campaign,” Ratuniyarawa said.

The Navisabasaba, Nadroga native has been preparing well to make his family, province and his country proud.

“We all aware of the pool of death; it’s a big challenge for me and other players but I’m confident we will do well in this competition.”
