For the first time, some members the Vodafone Flying Fijians had the opportunity to meet their fans in the North.

Tuapati Talemaitoga, Masi Matadigo, Nemani Nadolo and Sunia Koto were at Subrail Park during the Friendly North in Labasa yesterday.

They  met and shook hands with fans.

“This is the first opportunity for us as players to meet our northern fans before we leave for the Rugby World Cup on Monday,” Koto said.

“The Labasa people are  friendly.”

Nadolo said; “This is the first time for me to meet Labasa fans. Thanks to our sponsor, Vodafone Fiji for allowing us to meet our fans in North.

“We need their blessings, support and prayers.”

Vodafone Fiji head of e-commerce and corporate affairs Shailendra Prasad said, “A festival brings people together and we wanted the players to reach out to as many fans as possible.”

Meanwhile, Tagilala Koroi,7, of Matuku,  Lau was overjoyed to shake hands with Nadolo and Koto.

“I feel great to see them face to face,” Koroi said.

“I wish them the best,” she added.

The Vodafone Flying Fiji Fijians depart for England tomorrow.
