The Tunisian Women National 7s team says Fiji is a great country to prepare for better and competitive edge.

The Heidi Mohammed Ali-coached side was in the country for the last 33 days playing the Fijiana side in Pacific Harbour before returning yesterday.

“It is the first time the women’s team is here in Fiji to prepare for the Olympic Games qualification in the South Africa region on  September 26-27 in Johannesburg,” he said.

“We prefer Fiji which is bit cheaper and you get good standard teams to play against.” He said the side would surely return to test more of their talents with local players.

“We know that Fiji is very well known in the sevens code so why not bring the players out this far.

“It has been a wonderful time for the girls to be here in Fiji to prepare them for the competition,” he said.

The side will be playing two pools of five teams which include South Africa, Botswana, Uganda, Senegal, Zimbabwe and Madagascar.
