Fiji Rugby Union Development officer Alivereti Mocelutu is assisting the Vatukoula rugby team ahead of the second round of the HFC Farebrother challenge against BLK Nadroga this Saturday.

The former national rep had a two-day sessions with the players.

Team coach Male Savai said Mocelutu and Joeli Tubu (referees advisor), visited the training session upon their invitation.

“They are here to show the boys some drills in the set pieces because they are the experts in this area.

“We are going in as underdog as Nadroga has been the favourites from Skipper cup final and the first challenge last Saturday,” Savai said.

Vatukoula have a good squad who have been part of the Skipper Cup competition this season and few of the players have played the Fare-brother challenge.

“We have high respect for Nadroga but will work hard to bring the Farebrother game home so that our community can witness it at home since we have never ever won the Farebrother before.”

Nadroga hosts Vatukoula this Saturday at Prince Charles Park, Nadi at 3.30pm.The curtain-raiser match will be the Vodafone Rugby Trophy semifinals at 11am – Nanukuloa takes on Cakaudrove while at 1pm – Rewa takes on undefeated Malolo.
