Peni Musunamasi has resigned from the Fiji National Rugby League board as the deputy chairman.

In his statement yesterday the Naioti, Yale Kadavu man stated he was facing few difficulties and wanted to give chance to others.

“My involvement with FNRL is something I value so much as it has taught me values and commitment that I am proud of.

“I know these values have helped me lead FNRL from nothing to where it was in 2002 when I took over as Chairman of FNRL to the AGM 2014 when I was voted out and at the 2015 AGM I was voted back in as Deputy Chairman,” he stated.

“I have some personal difficulties in continuing so I have made a decision that I have to give way to others and have now resigned from the FNRL Board as the deputy chairman,” Musunamasi said.

He said he was still part of the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers Club and would always help talented youths from club level.

“I wish FNRL the very best and hopefully that decision by the FNRL board will not be personalised for any individual, clubs or any other thing for that matter but made in the best interest to take FNRL forward.

“Glory be to God always for his divine guidance and spiritual blessings as without it we are nothing in this world,” he added.
