League Football Club is out to win the Suva Football Association (Suva FA) club league title.

They meet All Freight Logistics Bureta in the quarterfinals on Sunday at Buckhurst Ground, Laucala Bay.

Suva FA local league president Niranjan Prasad said League FC deserved to play in the Super Premier Grade quarterfinal.

“League FC has a young side and they played well this season,” Prasad said.

“They finished third in Pool Two to secure their place in the quarterfinals. The level of competition in the Super Premier Division is competitive this season.

“They played well and after a lapse of many years, qualified to play in the Super Premier final.”

The quarterfinals on Sunday will see Civic play Port Villa, Bureta play League FC in the second quarterfinal, Pasifika Tent Combine will meet Central Meads while South Seas Logistic Baniwai Fusion play North Pole. Matches at Buckhurst and Bidesi grounds.

Civic has majority of Suva district team reps like Jale Dreloa, Napolioni Qasevakatini and Maciu Dunadamu who will spearhead.

“We will be able to determine the two sides to play in the Southern Division National Club Championship playoff on Sunday after the completion of semifinals,” Prasad said.
