Ever wondered what happens after fuel is pumped into your vehicle’s fuel tank? Well now with Total’s launch of the Oculus you can see what is happening inside your vehicle.

This technology is the first of its kind in Fiji. It is understood the Oculus basically presents a virtual journey into the engine to follow the path of the Excellium fuel as if you were there.

This product was launched alongside TOTAL’s EXCELLIUM New Generation and TOTAL EXCELLIUM Reflex by the Minister of Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, Praveen Kumar, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on Thursday evening.

TOTAL EXCELLIUM New Generation

Brings into the Fijian market better fuel which is safe for your vehicle and the environment.

The new fuel product is set to clean the engine of the vehicle kilometre after kilometre.

TOTAL (Fiji) Limited managing director, Martin McCarthy, said: “This EXCELLIUM New Generation’s formulation has been optimised with specific detergent additives to clean the engine’s vital components and keep them clean over time.

“The result is up to 93 per cent less buildup for diesel engines and up to 99 per cent less for gasoline engines.”

It is understood that by eliminating deposits on injection systems, TOTAL EXCELLIUM New Generation keeps engines performing at their optimum level over time.

Operations

The TOTAL EXCELLIUM New Generation works are sophisticated said Mr McCarthy.

He said: “The fuels’ additives also include molecules that reduce friction between metal parts, and therefore reduce wear and help extend engine life.

“Together, the cleaning and friction-reduction technologies lead to reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.

“This demonstrates Total’s technical progress in a new generation of fuels which clean your engine and provide long-lasting protection to make it more efficient, more economical and less polluting.”

TOTAL EXCELLIUM Reflex

The function of this product is to clean the engine using less fuel which in turn keep the engine running longer and causes less pollution.

Mr McCarthy said: “TOTAL EXCELLIUM New Generation is compatible with all existing diesel and gasoline vehicles, from cars to trucks.”

TOTAL EXCELLIUM new generation unleaded gasoline and diesel is now available in every Total station in Fiji.
