The 2015 Vodafone Rakiraki Carnival has been a great a platform to gain confidence and become ambassadors to bring positive changes to your communities, says Rajnesh Prasad.

The Vodafone Fiji general manager sales and marketing was speaking to the carnival contestants during the closing of the four-day carnival at Rakiraki last Saturday.

“You all are winners in your own right and I encourage you all to continue with this passion and leave a positive footprint in your communities,” he said.

“Vodafone Fiji is proud to be able to bring back the spirit of togetherness for the people of Rakiraki through the 2015 Vodafone Rakiraki Carnival.

“The much-awaited carnival is being finally staged after a drought of more than 10 years through our support and commitment to revive the festival for the people of Ra.”

He said the carnival had heightened the relationship between the people and the communities in Ra.

“The carnival has enabled us to strengthen our bond with the Ra community and further our commitment to the vanua.”

He said the revived carnival had once again brought together businesses, retailers, families and contestants to learn and enjoy and most importantly to raise funds for charity that would be used to develop Rakiraki Town.

“We continue to play our part in the society by sponsoring events that not only benefit the individuals but communities as a whole.

“We congratulate the Rakiraki Town Council and their able members for  reviving and staging such an awesome festival.”
