The Pearl Resort launched its rebranding over the weekend during the soft launch of the modern $85 million extension.

The man behind the rebranding graphic designer Robert Yeal said the new logo is finding the balance between outside and inside.

Since the announcement of the resort’s rebranding Mr Yeal revealed the management wanted something attractive which would tie the spectacular scenery with the new development.

He started with the colour stating the purpose of the new turquoise look was so that the inside could also have the beautiful sea colour outside look.

“We are bringing the outside in, so we got the sea colour which was what the manager of the Pearl Natalie Marletta, decided.

“Turquoise was the perfect color to represent outside and inside,” he said.

He added: “For the logo basically we kept the old circle and that needed to stay because the resort is called The Pearl and I just changed it to make it look more feminine.”

He explained The Pearl Resort with the new expansion brings a very feminine feel and the rebranding shows the resort as a dream woman.

Process of change in logo

“The process of change was basically we taking the circle out of the original logo and putting everything else away.

“The font at the bottom of the pearl was black, it was in your face but the new logo is a lot more fl owing, it’s a lot more interesting and its actual swirls on the outside.

He added the swirls represented the waves and the sea and with the beach setting, the amazing view over to Beqa ties in the pearl’s actual scenery.

Investment

The resort is currently in the middle of rebranding so a lot of products of the resort will be incorporated into this new brand.

He said: “The development here has become so big, that it can’t take what was old and it is important to bring in what is new. Everything has to change now! It is brighter, it is bigger and it is the new Pearl Resort for Fiji.

“Therefore it needs branding and that’s what I’m going to do not a total branding, but a rebranding.

“People come here year in year out and friends coming in every year. What is the point of completely changing everything about it so what I’ve done is a rebrand not a full change,” he said.
