Vodafone Flying Fijians head coach John McKee will name his starting line-up against England tonight at 9pm (Fijian time).

McKee yesterday confirmed this to SUNsports. “The team will be announced on Wednesday 10am (UK time),” McKee said.

“All players are fit and available for selection.”

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will officiate in the jersey presentation to the  players before the match against England on Saturday, 7am (Fijian time).

England, meanwhile, have named a strong line-up.

Head coach Stuart Lancaster  said; “Friday will be a great occasion for the whole squad and for the country.

“We are in a unique position to be playing in a World Cup on home soil and to have the support of a nation behind the team.

“That support will be a massive factor and we don’t underestimate its importance,” Lancaster said.

McKee, on the other hand, strongly believes the support from home will be felt in London on Saturday.

“We know it gives the boys a lift.  All these little messages that come through, they give that extra five to  10 per cent that we’re looking for on Friday night (UK time).

“The special ones are the ones from the people back home, for whom the Flying Fijians mean so much. It’s the messages from the people from the villages and the outlying areas in Fiji that really carry some weight with these guys because they’re the people they’re representing,” McKee said.

Another motivating factor for the Fijian team was that they missed Father’s Day in Fiji last Sunday and Captain Akapusi Qera said they would perform to their best performance for all the fathers in Fiji.

“In order to give our fathers a good present, we have to perform to the best of our ability this Friday,” Qera said.
