The $2.5 million Shop n Save complex opened in Votualevu Nadi yesterday.

Chief Executive Officer Kavishay Abhimannu said the new outlet contain a supermarket, restaurant and bakery.

“In addition to our extensive range of products including a choice of liquor, this branch will also have a clean and hygienic restaurant and bakery and is provided with ample parking space,” he said.

The outlet is expected to create around 70 new jobs.

Location

Currently Shop n Save has 15 supermarket branches around the country.

Mr Abhimannu said the reason for opening a new outlet in Votualevu was due to the strong demand.

He said: “Votualevu is a densely populated area and is poised for further growth with the new housing development coming up here.

“The choice of location of this branch is in keeping with our continuing endeavour to bring our great prices and service to convenient locations close to where our customers live.”

Future Plans

Shop n Save has bigger plans to continue to grow and branch out widely.

Mr Abhimannu said: “Our next major project is the opening of a new supermarket in Sigatoka.

“The building is ready and finishing work is progressing well.  We plan to open that branch in around six weeks from now.”
