Former national halfback Jacob Rauluni calls on the Vodafone Flying Fijians to utilise all possessions.

“One worry is when they were kicking away possession.

“When I was a player I make sure to work out all possessions that we had,” Rauluni said.

Jacob who had 49 caps for Fiji was impressed with the player’s performance against England yesterday.

“Really proud of the player’s performance, they played well against one of the top four teams in the world.

“Our forwards were outstanding, they held England in a lot of areas,”he added.

More test match against Tier One nations: Matawalu

Nadroga Rugby Union president Tiko Matawalu says more test matches against Tier One nation are needed.

The former flying Fijian and elder brother of current Flying Fijian Skipper Akapusi Qera did not mince his words yesterday.

“Fiji showed what it has and they confirmed this morning (yesterday) that they have what is needed to deliver at that level playing against at Tier One nation,” he said.

“To be able to put up a very strong performance of that nature is something that we are all proud off. Individually the players were there were world class players.

He said the match was history, lost despite hoping to put up a very good performance to pull that game off England’s hands but unfortunately.

Matawalu reconfirmed that they have the calibre to be able to top against Australia.

“The same approach that they took against England they should take against Australia.”
