Fiji Stops For RWC Opener

The country virtually came to a stop early yesterday morning as people watched the Vodafone Flying Fijians play England in the 2015 Rugby World Cup opener in London.
While the Fijians lost the game 35-11, Fijians around the country and abroad were satisfied with our players’ much improved level of performance where they were on par with England in most aspects of the game.
Even rugby pundits around the world praised the Flying Fijians for putting up a great performance against the highly-rated English side.
Although some decisions by South African refree Jaco Peyper and the involvement of the television match official were questionable all-in-all avid Fijian rugby supporters were satisfied with our players’ performance.
The Fiji Sun team went around the Suva City early yesterday morning and captured on camera Fijian supporters as they watched the live coverage of Fiji’s match on television.
