Boxer Opeti Tagi can’t wait for tomorrow. The country’s middleweight champion said he was ready to take on light heavyweight boxer Sakiusa Mekemeke in their six-round clash at Prince Charles Park tomorrow.
“I do respect Mekemeke and I know he is a natural light heavyweight and has been fighting in this division for a long time.
“But I’m confident and really looking forward to this fight.”
In his last fight, Tagi scored a split point decision win over Abhay Chand to capture the middleweight title.
In his last fight Mekemeke scored a second technical knockout win over Vitori Natawake.
