Fiji’s welterweight boxing champion Junior Farzan Ali is confident of a good fight against Uliyasi Qalomai in their 10×3 main bout of the Westwood Boxing Promotions at Prince Charles Park in Nadi tonight.
He wants to win as a tribute to his late elder brother, Zulfikar Joy Ali.
“Boxing has been our bread and butter.,” he said.
“Now Joy is no longer among our midst and I want to continue the tradition. That is all I am after, nothing less and nothing more.
“I have not fought locally since late 2011 and I want the title to be in our family,” he said.
He is been nicknamed ‘The Razor’ for his stinging jabs.
“I am ready for this fight, but I won’t underestimate my opponent.
