4 Lead Trading Week, Positive Signs

Atlantic & Pacific Packaging Company Limited (APP), Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited (ATH), Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) and Pacific Green Industries (Fiji) Limited (PGI) were the securities trade the past week at the stock exchange.

In terms of Price Movements, APP share price increased by 12.50% ($0.10) to close the week at $0.90.

In terms of Volume and Value Traded, trading levels on the e-trading platform eased this week in comparison to last week with trading volume and value concluding the week at 18,942 and $20,614 respectively.

Market Capitalisation & SPSE Total Return Index (STRI)

Despite the relatively lower trading levels, the market capitalisation noted an increase of 0.08% driven primarily by the increase in the APP share price. The market capitalisation closed the week at $984,215,127. STRI, the measure of total dividend and share price returns also recorded a marginal increase of 0.08% consequent to the APP trade to close the week at 2607.71.

 

New Order Flow

Over the week, new order flow consideration accumulated stood at $99,467. 63.10% ($62,765) of the new order flow value was generated through buy interests. Given the level of buying interest on the market, holders of securities may wish to consult stock broking firms for further information on highly demanded securities and capital gain opportunities.

 

Bid-Offer Spread

Kontiki Growth Fund Limited (KGF) together with ATH now stands as the securities with the narrowest bid-offer margin with a spread of $0.02. Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Limited (PBF) maintains the widest bid-offer margin with a spread of $3.98. Bid to Offer ratio stands at 1:0.4; continuing to reflect the strong presence of investors that are looking for suitable securities at an agreeable price.
