It was a dream come true for 21-year-old Miss Foundation for the Needy Children in Fiji, Neha Narayan when she was crowned Miss 2015 TFL Sugar Festival Queen last Saturday.

Ms Narayan said she achieved what one girl would dream of achieving.

“I have always dreamt of this,” Miss Narayan said.

“I thought I was dreaming when hearing my name being called on stage.

“I cannot explain the feeling I had, but I am delighted and excited to be Lautoka’s queen this year.”

She thanked her mother for helping in the victory.

“I dedicate this win to my mother and I thank her for all that she has done to me. Without you mom, I wouldn’t have won,” she said.

“All the supporters in Lautoka and my sponsors I thank you all for believing in me and giving me an opportunity like this.

Ms Narayan said she learned a lot of things from the festival.

“I am looking forward to representing the Sugar City while vying for Miss Fiji and I will do my best.”

Meanwhile, queens from carnivals held across the country will vie for the Miss Fiji crown.

Miss Fiji will represent the country at the Miss Pacific pageant in November.

The Miss Fiji Pageant will be held in Nadi next month.
