President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau will this Saturday unveil the name of the new building which is going to be headquarters to two key industry bodies.

The building being developed by the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation and the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association is nearing completion in Suva’s Gorrie Street.

President will unveil the name as he will close the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation-organised Top Executives (TOPEX) Conference at The Warwick Fiji.

Federation chief executive, Nesbitt Hazelman, confirming this said the investment has been $2.4 million.

“We have a very unique name for the building and we can see employers thinking outside of the box. We are trying to be with the time,” he said.

The AGM

Meanwhile, the annual general meeting to be held on Saturday, is expected to bring some changes to the board of the federation.

Mr Hazelman said this year they will elect new board members and a new board President.

“We have got the nominations in and the elections will take place. The AGM this year will be based on voting,” he said.

“There are a number of key business people who now want to sit on our board.

“They have seen the relevance of this federation and our ability to engage with Government.

“So our members have grown quite considerably over the years and the number of key members coming back on board including Fiji Airways.”
