Neck Injury Rules out Vucago

BLK Nadroga halfback Emosi Vucago has been ruled out for rest of the rugby season this year.
The former national sevens rep sustained a neck injury in the 13-10 victory over Malolo at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka last Friday.
Nadroga Rugby Union president Tiko Matawalu confirmed this yesterday.
“He sustained a very serious neck injury and the team will be missing his services,” he said.
Vucao has been discharged from hospital and is currently living with the wife in Nausori.
Meanwhile, the Stalliosn are without two players and their coach.
Coach Esala Nauga and few players like Manoa Tamaya and fullback Tikilaci Vuibau will be with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces rugby team during the International Defence competition in England this week. The Stallions take on Northland in their sixth challenge of the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge tomorrow.
“Even if the coach and some of the players will not feature in the game this weekend, we have other players who can play in their positions,” Matawalu said.
“Everything is in place and the boys are well versed with the plan. They have got all it takes for this week’s game.
“We put in our best team in the game against Malolo last weekend. We don’t have second string or first string teams. All our teams are the best and we make sure the best is put on the field during the competition.
“Every game is vital for the team and we treat them with respect. Northland has been there, done it and a hard team to play. They have also won this prestigious trophy before.
“Everything now is a do or die for the team.”
The match kicks off from 3pm at Lawaqa Park.
