The Kamal Swamy-coached Rams Cleaning Jack’s Nadi team aim to end their 13-year winless jinx at the 2015 Courts Inter-District Championship.

The ‘Green Machine’ last won the trophy in 2002 beating Rewa at Govind Park in Ba.

On Sunday they will face neighbours Lautoka in their opening pool encounter at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. Team manager Kamlesh Sami said they would try their best to win over the Blues.

“This is our first game of the tournament and we aim to start with a bang,”Sami said.

“For the past two years we reached the finals and lost. But this year we will want to make a change to that.

“The rumours that Samuela Drudru and Ilimotama Jese are leaving us is not true. They are staying back”

Former Tailevu-Naitasiri and Nadroga defender Luke Rawadamu and National Under-23 striker Martin Nasova from Nadroga, Napolioni Qasevakatini (striker), and Beniamino Mateinaqara (goalkeeper) are part of the side.

Sami is calling on Nadi fans to support the team.

Nadi have played in 21 finals and won six, while Lautoka won 16 titles of the 24 finals they featured in.
