Vodafone Fiji yesterday launched  “PINKTOBER” –  a month long awareness campaign on risks, early detection and prevention of  Breast Cancer.

The month long campaign will also see Vodafone staff getting involved in a fundraising drive with all monies raised to be donated to the Fiji Cancer Society in their fight against Breast Cancer.

Spearheading the initiative – Vodafone’s Head of Customer Care Vishala Raman – launched the campaign with “bring a plate” morning tea at the Vodafone Fiji headquarters in Tamavua, Suva.

Mrs Raman expressed the need for awareness of breast cancer in our communities.

“We are extremely proud to be supporting such a worthy cause. Charity in these areas are necessary to support the victims and their families,” she said.

“We look forward to engaging all our staff and members of the community for maximum support toward this worthy cause.

“Our staff have pledged to raise funds and put through the Vodafone ATH Foundation – Double the Dollar initiative and donate to the Fiji Cancer Society.

“A number of programmes has been lined up through-out the month with the aim of creating maximum awareness and help fund raise.

“We invite you to join us in our campaign by liking our Facebook page and pledging your support towards the campaign.”
