The Fiji National Rugby League received $10,000 from Pacific Energy at the Fiji Sports and National Olympic Commiitee (FASANOC) house in Suva yesterday.

The assistance will assist FNRL to host the touring New South Wales Country team.

Pacific Energy sales and marketing manager Rajnesh Prasad made the presentation to FNRL chairman Filimoni Vosarogo.

Prasad wished the team well in their preparation.

“We all know that Fijians are very passionate about rugby, whether its rugby league or rugby union,” Prasad said.

“This support shows how passionate we are with rugby and I wish the team the very best.”

Vosarogo said the sponsorship would help in their preparation for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

“We are delighted to have Pacific Energy on board as our sponsors for the event,” Vosarogo said.

The first match will be hosted in Suva at Buckhurst Park at 3pm tomorrow and the second match will be held at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Friday at 3pm.
