The Imdad Ali- coached 4R Electrical Ba team registered their first victory in the 2015 Courts IDC yesterday defeating Nadroga 2-0 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The  ‘Men In Black’ are on track to win their 24th title when the second round of pool play starts in Govind Park, Ba on Wednesday.

What happened: Ba goalkeeper Josaia Ratu was pressured in the first 10 minutes.

He made some crucial saves to deny Nadroga attacks led by former Lautoka reps Liesari Qalica, Andrew Naicker and Cyrus Singh

But Ba scored in the 12th minute through Josevata Neibuli after a Avinesh Waran Suwamy corner kick.

In the 36th minute Ba was awarded another corner with Suwamy’s shot was well connected by Malakai Tiwa for the second goal.

Halftime: Ba 2 – 0 Nadroga.

Nadroga came alive in the second spell, but poor combination upfront let them down.

Star turn: Goalkeeper Josaia Ratu played well for Ba.

Big play: Midfielder Malakai Tiwa put in the extra effort and  key man for Ba.

Comments: Ba coach Imdad Ali, “It was a good game, but the ground condition is not good for football.

“The boys played well, we will enjoy this win, but more work need to be done.”

Nadroga coach Ramesh Sharma, “Playing Ba will always be tough.
