It was proud moment for six Subie Fiji founders when the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar, launched the Subie Fiji logo at the ANZ Stadium Carpark in Suva, yesterday.

Subie Fiji is a club made up of owners of Subaru vehicles; more than 30 were at the launch yesterday.

Subie Fiji founder Sandeep Prakash said: “This event was an initiative of an individual, but six people formed a small group of Subaru owners and we thought of bringing Subaru owners with their vehicles for meet up.”

“It’s a meet where we have launched our log and at the same time, we want our network between Subaru owners to be go bigger.”

He said none of the companies in Fiji had engaged in similar launch and they were proud to be first once to have done this in a bigger way.

“These meets are done in international markets and they call themselves as Subie New Zealand, Subie Australia, so we thought of saying Subie Fiji as to be part of this team.

“I am happy that the owners have accepted our invitation. These owners have done a lot on their vehicles and we had very good response from them,” Mr Prakash said.

Ms Akbar, during the launch, said: “It is a pleasure to be part of your launch and hope this is not the first time where all the Subaru owners will be meeting in showcasing their beautiful rides.”

“I encourage people to own such cars and look forward more on Fiji’s road. Let’s hope we have more roadshows and events where you can come and showcase this brand,” she said. She advised drivers to be cautious while driving. Meanwhile, Subie Fiji plans to conduct a car show in December.
