Silence filled the home of Ashneel Singh in Ratu Dovi, Suva, yesterday, as his body was brought home for the last time.

Relatives and friends of the famWSingh, who was on his way to Suva when his vehicle had a head on collision with an on-coming vehicle at Edinburgh Drive last Friday night.

He was rushed to the CWM Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Mr Singh’s sister Shivani Singh said: “My brother was a very nice, helpful and understanding person.

“He was the eldest son in the family and he meant everything to us.

“Nothing has been done to give justice to my brother and no Police officer has come to our home to talk to us,” she said.

Ms Singh said they even sent an email to the South African High Commission but they haven’t received any response from them.

“The accused have not even called our family to apologise,” she said.

“My brother died on Saturday morning and today is Wednesday and nothing has been done. We want justice for my brother and we will fight till the end,” Ms Singh said.

Meanwhile his mother Aruna Devi said she wanted justice and wanted the Police to do something.

“It will be very difficult for my family to survive and everyone will miss him.”

Ashneel Singh was cremated at the Vatuwaqa Cemetery yesterday.
