The current vice- chairperson and Standing Commissioner for the Republic of Korea National Elections Commission, Lee Jong Woo, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Fiji’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

Mr Lee said he looked forward to strengthening the relationship between his office and his counterparts in Fiji.

Ratu Inoke thanked Mr Lee for the assistance rendered to the Fijian Elections Office last year, especially the provision of elections observers and vehicles.

He also thanked Mr Lee for the recent invitation to South Korea allowing eleven (11) Fijian elections officers to attraining next week.

Ratu Inoke stated that it would be a good opportunity for the Officers to learn and also share ideas with their counterparts in Korea.

Both Ratu Inoke and Mr Lee also talked about strengthening relations in Fiji’s parliamentary sector.

Mr Lee was accompanied by the Republic of Korea Ambassador to Fiji Kim Seong-In.
