Nawi Island Limited has partnered with the Fiji Development Bank in its Marina and dry dock construction, a key component to the project.

The partnership with FDB has projected development to the next stage of civil infrastructure and engineering.

The partnership with FDB, continued support from the local government, government heads of departments, other stakeholders and the local community has given Nawi Island Limited greater confidence moving forward and investing in Fiji, specifically in Savusavu, continuing from its initial investment of $10 Million.

By extension of working of the partnership with FDB, Nawi Island Limited has engaged the services of Jaduram Industries Limited, a Northern Division based firm, for construction works.

Nawi Island Limited Administrative Manager Violet Williams said the new phase would see construction of an international marina with 144 modern slips and amenities.

Development will also include a dry dock which will cater for boat maintenance, repairs, fuelling, pump out and safe harbouring.

Together, the facilities at Nawi Island will help visiting yachts to Savusavu stay for longer by providing safe mooring all year round, even during the cyclone season.

Background Information

Nawi consists of three small islands. The smallest island will be the home to the marina.

While the resort would be constructed on the bigger island. The completion of the Marina project is estimated to take a period of two years.
