A couple who created a storm on social media on a video of them allegedly stealing from a supermarket have been identified.

Police spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri said: “It is alleged that the couple used to roam the streets of Suva and Police is currently working on their arrests.”

The incident was recorded last week Saturday at New Run International Supermarket in Raiwaqa and was recorded on the supermarket’s security camera.

The security camera footage captured the pair removing and allegedly concealing eight tins of S26 Baby Milk Powder and two bottles of Ovaltine. The supermarket said the items were worth $322.95.
