Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will be addressing a high-level group of business people during the 22nd Australia Fiji Business Forum which will be held at the Novotel Manly Pacific Hotel, Sydney.

The forum will be held from October 15 to 17 and Mr Bainimarama is expected to address the business community on 16 October.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is also expected to attend the event, which coincides with Mr Bainimarama’s trip to celebrate Fiji Day with former Fijian citizens, now living in Australia.

The 2015 Forum, the first held in Australia since the current Fiji election in September 2014, aims to provide Australian business with information on current opportunities for business in Fiji as well as provide an opportunity to bring more closely together Australian and Fijian business which already have a long history of partnership.

Tournament organised

On Thursday the Third Urwin Gavidi Golf Tournament will be played in recognition of the contribution to the bilateral business relationship of eminent Australian and Fijian diplomats, the late Greg Urwin, former Patron of the Australia Fiji Business Council, and Ratu Isoa Gavidi, current Patron of the Fiji Australia Business Council, who have been sustained strong supporters of the bilateral business relationship.

First prize is a holiday package in Fiji.
