Villagers Applaud Govt Help

Villagers of Rakiraki yesterday sang praises for Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama when he opened the new Rakiraki Bridge. |
Navuavua village headman Etuate Navosa was speechless and could not describe how happy his people were.
“This is something big the Government has actually done to us,” he said.
“We thank the FijiFirst government for their assistance and we look forward to bigger things in the future.”
Mr Navosa said the bridge would lessen their travelling time.
“Unlikely before we had to go the whole way around but now we can just take our products at any time since the bridge is there with better road.
“The villagers and the people of Ra will worry no more as the bridge is much higher than the level of water,” he said.
“The FijiFirst Government has kept its promise with the villagers and the opening of the new bridge signifies the fair treatment the Government gives for all Fijians in Fiji.”
