A total of 53 students of Nausori Special School were happy to be provided with Tee-shirts and refreshments yesterday during their annual national sports competition.
Telecom Fiji chief executive officer, Mothilal De Silva said giving was part of their social corporate responsibility and sharing happiness.
“It is important for corporations to support such events as it allows physical development and we will continue to support such initiatives and wish the students a wonderful sporting event,” he said.
School head teacher Sofia Waqanidrola thanked the public and corporate businesshouses for helping children with special needs and special talents.
“We are privileged and thankful to Telecom Fiji Limited for the great donation of Tee-shirts and refreshments. Their donation will positively contribute to the physical development of our children in terms of sports as well as other areas of their progress,” Ms Waqanidrola said.
The students participated at the National Games for Special and Inclusive Schools at the ANZ Stadium on Thursday and yesterday.
Telecom Fiji also provided financial assistance to the Lautoka Special School team to travel to the Games
