FijiFirst member of Parliament Alvick Maharaj will be spending one week in the Northern Division listening to some concerns from members of the public.

“Every two months I make a visit and meet people, get their concerns or any issues they have in regards to Government or any issue they have on their own,” Mr Maharaj said.

He said he briefed people on the policies of Government and how the policies work and how it benefitted them.

“What we are trying to do is changing the whole political phase. Previously MPs use to only appear in their constituencies every five years when there is an election,” Mr Maharaj said.

“Now Government has tried to change by MPs going to the people rather than expecting people coming to us.

“This is one of the policies of FijiFirst. We need to go and approach people,” he said.
