Rewa Raring To Go: Karan

Rewa is confident of reaching the finals of the Bongo 40th Fiji Primary Schools Inter-District Championship (IDC) in Labasa tomorrow.
With the inclusion of Rewa and Fijian reps Iosefo Verevou and Epeli Saukuru’s younger brother Junior Josaia Sela, coach Pramesh Karan believes he is their secret weapon.
“This team has been preparing for four weeks now and we are raring to go and eager to compete,” Karan said.
“We have a new aim this year and that is to make it to the finals and also win this year’s tournament. We believe that is possible because we have Iosefo and Epeli’s younger brother in our team.
“Junior (Josaia Sela) plays football like his brothers and is a good striker. I believe he can deliver and will be one of the players to watch at the tournament.
Rewa reached the semifinals last year losing to Lautoka 2-0 and Karan said it will not get any easier this year, especially when they face Nadroga in their first game.
“We need to do well in this first game because the first game is always crucial.
“I know we have a lot fans in Labasa and I urge them to come out in numbers to support Rewa because I know the boys will give it their all.”
Rewa play Nadroga at 8.50am and then Levuka at 12:40pm at Guru Nanak Primary School, Labasa.
The team depart for Labasa 5am today.
