The Fiji Football Association now owns a commercial property valued at approximately $130,000. This was handed over to Fiji FA by FIFA yesterday.
FIFA assistant development officer Lyn Shirley while handing over the property said this was part of FIFA’s Win-Win project where Fiji FA could use the facilities in terms of generating income.
The facilities include a Futsal court, a fully equipped kitchen, and rooms for accommodation purposes, conference hall and a commercial shop.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said this would help them to regulate income for its operations.
“FIFA is insisting that all the federations should venture out into commercial activities so that they are able to regulate enough revenue for its operations. At the moment we are getting FIFA grant but FIFA is helping the federations to increase their income generation projects.”
