SODELPA Silent On Oni Kirwin

The Social Democratic Liberial Party (SODELPA) is silent on Oni Kirwan’s claim that she always speaks to the party.
When contacted yesterday SODELPA general secretary Pio Tabaiwalu said he did not want to make a comment.
“I cannot comment. I don’t have any contact,” Mr Tabaiwalu said.
Ms Kirwin spoke to the Fiji Sun last Saturday when she was leading a very small and little noticed protest against Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at the Fiji Day celebrations in Liverpool, New South Wales, Australia.
The Fiji Sun attempted to speak to SODELPA’s Ro Teimumu Kepa yesterday. She slammed the phone when she heard the caller was from the Fiji Sun.
While Ms Kirwin admitted she usually spoke to SODELPA, she denied working with the party.
Meanwhile, Ratu Tevita Makutu, the official spokesperson of Nadroga/Navosa chief, the Turaga na Ka Levu, Ratu Kinijoji Vosailagi, said his chief was against Ms Kirwin’s involvement in the formation of the so-called Christian State in Nadroga and Navosa.
He said the group was living in isolation in the province as no one supported them.
The Turaga na Ka Levu and his people, he said, supported the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama-led FijiFirst Government.
