Swami Vivekananda College Alumni Plans Reunion
More than 500 alumni of Swami Vivekananda College (SVC) will meet at Namaka, Nadi, on October 30.
SVC Ex-Scholars Association president Vineel Nand said, “We intend to create an environment where ex-scholars, teachers, families and friends will get a chance to get together, socialise, and bring back the memories of their school days.”
“We would love to attract audiences from various ethnic groups and cultures, thus bringing members of the community together,” he said from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, yesterday.
Mr Nand said since 2007 they had been having regular events to keep members connected through seminars, networking and dinner.
“We are planning an international reunion to be held in Nadi in 2017. The purpose of this association was to create a network among all ex-students in Fiji and overseas.
“Our goals include support scholarships for the education of promising students, promote leadership skills among all ex-scholars, organise various workshops associated with wide area of fields for students’ career development, encourage strong social bonds among ex-scholars, and supported various school activities
The theme for the evening is hakwa style full and of joy, unity, colour and prosperity.
The dress code is green and gold.
