The Vanua Levu Open tees off at the Labasa’s Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) Golf Course this weekend.

Organised by the Labasa Golf Club, 40 golfers are expected to take part on Saturday and Sunday.

“The event is the biggest in our calendar, “LGC captain Vinod Chand said.

“We will also have prominent golfers from Nadi, Anuresh Chandra and defending champion Abid Hussein taking part.

Chand commended the support of  A. Hussain & Company Limited for their help.

“People should take up golf because it promotes healthy lifestyle.”

Registration fee is $40 and  prizes will be provided in the A, B and C grades.”

The Vanua Levu Classic tournament, sponsored by Sun Insurance, will be held on December 5-6.”
